We are so happy you’re here. This October, we’re gathering the people we love in the high desert of Central Oregon to celebrate the next leg of our journey together. Here you’ll find the route, the base camp, and everything you’ll need to join us.

Our Journey

Trailhead · 2019

A Dutch Bros drive-thru window

We both attended Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls — Morgan majoring in Population Health Management, Kyli finishing her nursing prerequisites. But technically, we first met through that drive-thru window. Morgan was the broista; Kyli was the customer.

At a Dutch Bros Christmas party that December, we had our first real conversation. Morgan wore a leather jacket, which Kyli complimented. (This detail is important. The jacket made an impression.)

A Snapchat, then a Dutch Bros lid

In September 2021, Kyli posted an outfit on Snapchat and Morgan replied — launching a conversation that lasted hours. Somewhere in there, she mentioned she didn’t want to marry until after 25. No real reason; 25 just sounded like a good number.

On October 31, 2021, Morgan asked her to be his girlfriend by writing it on a Dutch Bros lid, with flowers. Kyli still has the lid.

The top of Broken Top

After Kyli graduated nursing school in 2024, we moved to Redmond to put down roots. Then — exactly one week and one day after Kyli turned 25 — Morgan proposed at the summit of Broken Top, the Three Sisters standing behind us. Kyli had no idea; Morgan had planned it very carefully.

We’re grateful for the path that brought us together, and we can’t wait to share this next stretch with you.

Make a weekend of it

Explore Central Oregon

October here is unreal — crisp high-desert air, golden light on the peaks, and world-class trails minutes away. If you’re a hiker (or just want the views), here’s where we’d send you.

01

Smith Rock State Park

~15 min · hike

One of Oregon’s most iconic landscapes — sheer rock spires above the Crooked River. The Misery Ridge loop is a leg-burner with a huge payoff. Our top pick.

02

Tumalo Falls

~45 min · hike

A short trail to a spectacular 97-foot waterfall, with more falls if you keep climbing. Peak fall color this time of year.

03

The Bend Ale Trail

~25 min · relax

Bend is the craft-beer capital of the region. Earn it on a trail, then reward yourself at Deschutes, Crux, or Boneyard.

04

Downtown Bend

~25 min · explore

Walkable and lively — restaurants, shops, and cafés along the Deschutes River. Perfect for an easy afternoon.

05

Sisters

~25 min · explore

A charming Old West town with boutiques, galleries, and big mountain views. A lovely, low-key day trip.

06

Ogden Scenic Viewpoint

~15 min · photo stop

A dramatic gorge overlook right off the highway in Terrebonne — an easy, jaw-dropping pull-off.
